I booked ski school through vail.com am I missing something here? The whole process felt way more confusing than it needed to be. Check-in took forever, our instructor got switched, and by the end my kid barely seemed to have learned much. For what we paid, I expected it to be a lot smoother and more organized. Instead it felt rushed and kind of chaotic. I really wanted it to be a better experience, but I wouldn’t book it again

"Not the kind of service we expected"
The staff came across as rude and didn’t seem interested in helping us much. I get that places can get busy, but customers still deserve to be treated with basic respect. Management should really take responsibility for making sure the team is trained to be more welcoming and helpful.

"Updates fall apart whenever the weather turns"
Every time the weather got even a little messy, the info seemed to go all over the place. The lift updates were hard to trust, and it made planning anything feel basically impossible. Communication was either late or just not there, which always makes the whole day more frustrating than it needs to be

"Pass worked fine, but shipping took longer than expected"
The pass activated without any issues and worked like it was supposed to. I’ve ordered similar passes before and usually the fulfillment is a bit quicker, so the slow shipping was the only downside for me. Overall it was fine once it arrived.

The lift lines were crazy. I felt like I spent way more time waiting around than actually skiing. For the price and the time, it just didn’t feel worth it.

"Can’t even get into my account half the time"
I was just trying to log into my vail.com account and it kept doing this weird loop thing, or it would throw a “something went wrong” message. Tried resetting my password too, which I thought would fix it, but not really. I don’t know, it’s just frustrating when all I wanted was to check my pass info for a minute. The site makes simple stuff feel way harder than it needs to be.

"Got bored of the same trails fast"
The mountain felt repetitive to me. It was mostly groomers, and after a few runs I was already waiting for something a little more interesting to show up. For what it costs, I expected way more variety and some fun mixed terrain instead of feeling like I was doing the same run over and over

"Parking was frustrating, but we made it work"
Parking was rough. We got there early thinking that would help, but still ended up driving around way too long with no clear idea of which lots were full. Eventually we just gave in, paid more than we wanted to, and had a long walk in ski boots. I guess it’s just part of dealing with a busy place like vail, but the whole setup could definitely be better. It wasn’t enough to ruin the day, but it started things off on a annoying note.

"Refund process left me feeling ignored"
I had to cancel my trip and somehow still ended up losing money. I tried to understand their refund policy, but it feels confusing and unfair. What made it worse was that I felt like my concerns weren’t really being heard, so the whole thing just left me frustrated.

To be fair, mistakes can happen, but I ended up getting charged twice and I’m still waiting for the refund to come through. I reached out to support a few times, but it felt like I kept getting brushed off instead of getting a clear answer. Frustrating experience overall.

"Worth it if you're skiing more than a couple days"
I got the Epic Pass through vail.com and honestly... it ended up being a good deal for me. The upfront price still feels a little steep at first, but once I got about 4 or 5 days on the mountain, it started to make sense. The site was mostly easy to use, though checkout did slow down on me for a minute. Not perfect, but if I’m planning a ski trip ahead of time... yeah, I’d probably buy it again

"Fun day, but the communication was frustrating"
Overall, it was a good day and I still had fun, but the lifts were really crowded. What annoyed me more was that the communication wasn’t very clear, so it was hard to know what was going on or where to go at times. A bit more direction would’ve made the whole experience much smoother.

I rented skis through vail.com the gear was in bad shape. The boots felt super old and packed out, one of the buckles barely worked, and the skis looked like they hadn’t been tuned in a while. I ended up having to go back and swap things out, which ate up a chunk of our day. For the price they charge, I really expected better. What bothered me even more is that nobody followed up afterward or seemed to care that it happened. Definitely not renting from them again

had a rough day at Vail. The conditions felt kind of sketchy in spots, and when we actually needed ski patrol, it took way longer than I would’ve expected. It just felt like nobody really knew what was happening or who was handling what, which made the whole situation more stressful. For how much you pay to be there, I guess I just assumed the basic safety side would be more solid, but... yeah. Not really planning on going back

"Booking was fine, I guess, but the checkout dragged"
I managed to make the reservation without any real problems, so that part was good. But the checkout was kind of confusing and took longer than I expected. it worked out in the end, which is nice, but I was a little annoyed by the process.

"Pretty disappointing snow, not worth the price"
We went expecting decent conditions, but the snow was bad, icy in some spots, and slushy lower down. Vail made it look way better than it actually was, which was frustrating. For what we paid, it really didn’t feel worth it, and I left feeling kind of ripped off.

"The website was such a hassle"
I tried to book lift tickets, but the site just kept freezing up and taking me around in circles. The menus were confusing, the pages loaded really slow, and checkout felt glitchy too. After about 20 minutes, I just gave up. It’s not very user friendly.

I booked a place through vail.com the whole thing felt off once I had already paid. Before payment everything seemed straightforward, but after that I was left waiting on check-in details and started wondering if anyone was actually on top of it. When we got there, the room wasn’t all that clean, and no one seemed to know who I was supposed to contact for help. I spent way too much time on hold just trying to get basic answers. For what it cost, it was really disappointing. I wouldn’t book lodging through them again.

I went on vail.com to look at lift tickets, expecting them to be pricey but still somewhat reasonable. Once I saw the actual prices, I was frustrated because they were way higher than I had in mind.

I get that skiing isn’t cheap, but it feels like the cost keeps going up every year. I expected a normal day on the mountain to be a splurge, not something that feels like booking a flight.

I ended up not buying the tickets. I still love the mountain, but the prices on the site made it really hard to justify the trip
